There can be only one account owner; however, that person can give permission for others (e.g. a spouse, beneficiary, financial advisor) to have various levels of access to the account as an "Authorized Agent". The first Authorized Agent level allows the designated person to access information and receive quarterly account statements. To name a Level 1 Authorized Agent simply click "get started" to your right; or call 1-800-440-4000.
The other three levels of Authorized Agents allow the designated person to: (i) change investment options --Level 2, (ii) change investment options and authorize withdrawals - Level 3, and (iii) change investment options, authorize withdrawals and have full control of the account including changing the account owner or beneficiary - Level 4. To designate an Authorized Agent at one of these other levels, a notarized form must be completed and submitted. The forms are available at PA529.com.

Through this Program you earn Tuition Reward Points that entitle you to tuition discounts at participating private colleges and universities. Discounts are earned at the rate of 2.5% of the value of your account at the end of each calendar quarter. The Points accumulate as long as your beneficiary is eligible to earn discounts and, when redeemed are worth $1 per point. Each participating school determines the maximum discount that it will honor, which is currently between $8,500 and $45,705.
Generally, to participate in Tuition Rewards, you must enroll your beneficiary prior to his or her 16th birthday and you continue to earn tuition discounts until your beneficiary's 17th birthday. (See the PA 529 Investment Plan Disclosure Statement for details.)
When you enroll you receive 500 Points for each of your accounts. Additionally, when you register on the SAGE website, www.tuitionrewards.com, you earn an additional 500 Points. By enrolling in Tuition Rewards, you give SAGE permission to provide SAGE member schools information about your beneficiary so the school can recruit your beneficiary.
